Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our campaign. My name is Shawn Graber and, I am running for the Frederick County, Back Creek District, Board of Supervisors seat. Presently, I am employed as a Fire Medic in Page County, Virginia where I enjoy helping people when they are at their times of greatest need.
Previously, I served as the Cost Recovery/Deputy Emergency Manager for Warren County, Virginia. While in this position, I actively sought to reduce costs to the citizens while increasing the value of services received through the Fire and Rescue department. During this time, I was able to achieve greater than thirty percent savings on liability and property insurance, as well as greater than 40 percent savings in ambulance billing costs. By inviting the private sector to competitively bid projects, the citizens ultimately received better services at lower costs.
When elected, I would call for transparency through line item budgets for all departments, work to reduce debt thus decreasing interest expenses and ultimately taxes, and strive to defend property rights. Together, we will increase the quality of life for all who reside in Frederick County.
My name is Jimmy Smith. I was born and raised right here in Frederick County, along with working and living in this County my whole 47 years. In my 21 years of business experience, I have dealt with small and large companies. I’ve learned to get tasks completed on time and within budget. I pride myself in having an open mind, always willing to hear what everyone has to say.
No Tax Increases ,Small Government ,Budget Transparency and Accountable Spending throughout the county! I believe the taxpayers should be able to see where and how their tax dollars are being spent.
Public Safety is a big concern in today’s world, as it should be. We need to work together here at home to protect the lives and property of our citizens and our business.
“I've always believed that a lot of the trouble in the world would disappear if we were talking to each other instead of about each other.” ― Ronald Reagan. We need to go back to more talking to each other about the issues of this county, reconnect this disconnect.
I am seeking the nomination, for a seat on the board of Supervisor, Back Creek District to serve my neighbors, not for self-interests or personal agendas.
Come out on April 30 from 4-8 at Greenwood Fire Hall.
